* miss jaz...
it's hard to find natural beauty at it's best, but i think i've found it! i am INFATUATED with jasmine pennamma's jewelry line of natural stones which she calls "rock candy." her rings are my fave & the necklaces are just as fierce!
* nike in tokyo...
the trendy neighborhood of harajuku in tokyo, japan is saying konnichiwa to nike & one of the flyest sneaker stores i have seen. the japanese are known for their love of unique sneakers so this is the perfect addition to the harajuku district, known for its cutting-edge street fashion. the interior design of the store is so cool with chandeliers of sneakers & racing number tags, a texture wall of nike sneaker soles, a nike running club section where runners can hop on a treadmill & get feedback on their stride, & a nikeid studio where customers can customize apparel & footwear using computer stations & swatches of fabric & leather.
* andy warhol pop...
pop art genius, andy warhol, has a legacy that will reign forever! a new book, "pop: the genius of andy warhol," offers a detailed account of how he made the transition from successful new york illustrator to one of the most talked about artists around. his art has had a major influence on fashion, so i may pick this one up as well. i think it's sexy to be a well rounded fashionista. :~}
